You can't share the USB port, but you can 'virtually' unplug a device from one computer and plug it into another. for the OS no difference to a directly connected ilok/usb device. it emulates a hub connected to the macs USB port. Just to clarify what this usb server is doing. I was interested why you think that Avid would make the effort to block this and what their benefit would be.
